Third Amended Complaint Filed Against ManTech International Corporation

LOJH continues its ground-breaking litigation against ManTech International Corporation through the filing of a Third Amended Complaint against the company.  The lawsuit against ManTech (NASDAQ "MANT") is one of two LOJH lawsuits that tie violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act ("TVPRA") with liability under the False Claims Act ("FCA").  For commentary on ManTech and the companion lawsuit U.S. ex. rel. Elgasim Fadlalla et al. v. DynCorp International, LLC et al., Click HERE, HERE, and HERE.

LOJH represented Relator/Plaintiffs in U.S. ex rel. Larry Hawkins et al. v. ManTech International Corp. et al, Case No. 15-cv-02105, filed a Third Amended Complaint ("TAC") in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (Hon. U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson presiding).  The TAC enhances Relators' allegations of human trafficking by making it clear that ManTech was warned that it was breaking Kuwait's immigration and employment laws when it brought mechanics to Kuwait, made false claims to the United States and the State of Kuwait regarding its compliance with Kuwait's Private Sector Labor Law, and knowingly violated the rights of the mechanics working at the Kuwait Maintenance and Sustainment Facility servicing the U.S. military's Mine Resistant Ambush Protected ("MRAP") vehicles.  The TAC also seeks to reinstate Count V by pleading with particularity how ManTech made materially false claims to the United States with respect to compliance with the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act ("TVPRA") compliance sufficient to claw back payments by the United States.  For a copy of the Third Amended Complaint click HERE.  To read Relators' opposition to ManTech's motion to dismiss the TAC, click HERE.
